Dangers of Listeria Food Poisoning

Listeria is a bacteria that can lead to a serious infection. The disease tends to affect pregnant women, newborns, and adults with weakened immune systems, like the elderly.

Listeriosis is a serious problem and should be treated as such. In October 2015 there were at least four recalls in the United States due to listeria contamination.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention created the following infographic to help inform the public about the dangers of listeria.
